Mahalo Beach Party

Categories: Adventure, Kauai, Uncategorized

What better way to say “Mahalo” to lifeguards and their supporters than with a party on the beach?

On Sunday, May 21, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the Kaua’i Lifeguard Association will host the Mahalo Beach Bash on the Kaua’i Marriott Luau Grounds, just a quick 20 minute drive from our Courtyard Kaua’i Coconut Beach hotel. However, this is not your average beach party, it is a full-blown celebration! Enjoy live entertainment, a delicious BBQ feast, plenty of contests, epic prizes, real-time lifeguard demonstrations, and more.

Brother Noland, John Cruz and Paul Togioka will take the stage throughout the afternoon, providing the perfect musical backdrop to the beach bash vibe. As the Hawaiian tunes set the mood, savor the abundant BBQ buffet, and enjoy a cocktail, glass of wine, or beer thanks to a no host bar sponsored by Pacifico Beer, Corona, and Koloa Rum.

Although simple prize drawings will occur throughout the afternoon (over $6,000 in prizes up for grabs), be sure to stop by the prize table to show off your vintage Aloha wear or “Oldie But Goldie” t-shirt for a chance to win either a weekend at the St. Regis Princeville Resort (for the vintage Aloha wear finalist) or a weekend with amenities at the Courtyard Marriot in Waipouli (for the “Oldie But Goldie” t-shirt finalist). Don’t forget to stick around for the grand prize drawing: one lucky winner will receive a trip for two to anywhere from Alaska Airlines!

Because the Kaua’i Lifeguard Association likes to celebrate with a purpose, lifeguards will put our beach to good use with live demonstrations using jet skis and rescue tubes, spotlighting the need for speed while saving lives. The Mahalo Beach Bash is sure to be as educational as it is entertaining.

We hope you can join us as the Kaua’i Lifeguard Association says “Mahalo” to the lifeguards that work so hard to keep our breathtakingly beautiful beaches safe for visitors and locals alike.
